Job summary
Here is an
opportunity to join our busy and friendly establishment of Audiologists and
support staff providing a wide range of Audiological services at the
Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals.
Your duties will
include a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks which will include, the
production of weekly and monthly reports and validation of patient pathways,
the creation of clinic letters, telephone reception work, the booking of
patients appointments using several databases and general support to the Head
of Service and clinical staff.
We need a person with excellent communication and
organisational skills, who can organise and work on their own initiative as
well as being an effective team member. You will need to have good office
management skills and experience of working in a health care environment or
with the public would be useful.
Your place of work will be the Audiology department
at Pinderfields General Hospital although there may be a requirement to work on
other sites occasionally depending on the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the Audiology team to
ensure patient pathways are correctly recorded on the in house electronic
Administration systems. Through validation, errors will be identified,
corrected and reported on. This will allow the Trust to report on 6-week and
18-week Referral to Treatment standards.

Daily validation of known system errors
from the trusts electronic booking systems, this will require in-depth
knowledge of the in house audiology and
eCamis system, the causes of the errors and resolving complex pathway
scenarios.
Daily validation of the common diagnostic
pathway errors, including investigating cause of error, understanding complex
pathways for multiple specialties, resolving conflicting information and
sourcing data from a range of sources.
Liaising with a variety of staff,
including clinicians, managers and administration staff.
