An opportunity has arisen for an
enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the Medical Records Team at The
Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, as a Medical Records Clerk for a
busy Medical Records Department at Dewsbury.
The successful candidate must be
a team player, highly organised, be able to work under pressure and have a positive approach. The ability to work in a challenging and
changing environment will be demonstrated by well-developed personal skills and
communication skills alongside a thorough and focused approach to tasks.
Main duties of the job
To ensure availability of Healthcare Records as required,to be able to prioritise and manage own workload in a set time-frame, following established procedures and practices with supervision available when required.
Responsible for data entry onto the electronic tracing system to ensure location of the paper light/case notes are readily available
Responsible for indexing documents into the Trust's EDMS system
Achieves effective communication with all levels of clerical/administrative staff, secretaries and the multi-disciplinary professional team, other departments, primary care team and the general public. This can be written, verbal, electronic or by telephone
Frequently required to provide complex and sensitive information to other Healthcare professionals. E.g, Request and provide patient information to/from General Practitioners and other hosptials at clinicians request.
Identifiy and retrieve information from other Health Care Agencies using telephon and cmputer and adhering to the Data Protection
