Job summary

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust are currently looking for a passionate and exceptional Advanced Clinical Practitioner to be part of our Same Day Emergency Care department.

Same Day Emergency Care is part of the NHS plan and as a Trust we are keen to develop these services further. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner you will join an established team seeing between 50-75 patients over 14 hours a day, seven days a week.

Mid Yorkshire are looking to recruit a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner, who can evidence clinical acumen, leadership and service development aligned to the four pillars of advanced practice. You will be accountable to the Head of Clinical Service, whilst being professionally supported by the Deputy Assistant Director of Nursing.

We would encourage positive, dedicated qualified ACPs to join the team to really make a difference to patient care. Applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to join the apprenticeship scheme on a three year training programme to become a qualified ACP at Mid Yorkshire.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be practicing under supervision as a trainee within clinical placement areas to provide advanced care. This will encompass the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the clinical placements.

The post holder will, under supervision, work across nursing and medical boundaries demonstrating leadership in providing expert care, contributing to education, research, audit and practise development.

On completion the practitioner will have demonstrated clinical expertise, competence, confidence and be able to work within an autonomous and defined sphere of practice, maintaining records and in collaboration with the Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Professional teams.
