The Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are looking to recruit 3 Quality Assurance Auditors to join our dedicated team.

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, either 09.00am - 17.00pm or 14.00pm - 22.00pm
Main duties of the job
To work as a part of the Quality Assurance Team auditing the standard of cleanliness in all areas in accordance with the national cleaning standards. The Supervisor will be required to exercise initiative and judgement when completing audits on wards and non-clinical areas using the systems in place. They will be courteous and caring to patients, visitors and all service users, ward-based Housekeeping Services and Patient Movement services. They will also require knowledge of Clinical waste procedures (HTM007)
This position will cover auditing service across our three hospitals sites at Pinderfields, Dewsbury and Pontefract.

Delivering the Service - on a daily basis Supervisors will be required to plan and deliver audits in a timely manner across Mid Yorks sites, answering any issues/queries by service users
To monitor facilities staff in all the elements of their role whilst auditing, asking relevant questions to ensure a high knowledge level is being attained, Making sure all rectifications needed are completed in the timescale required .
To Audit clinical waste processes in line with HTM007 and deliver reports to the Facilities manager.
QA Auditors are required to work with staff teams to ensure correct auditing techniques are carried out fulfilling the audit needs .
A QA Auditor will be required to have the knowledge and technical ability to be able to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary to complete service delivery.
Support the Trusts Health and Safety Policy ensuring staff are trained to ensure the safety of staff visitors and patients within their area of work.
Actively support the reduction in food wastage.
To support the Team Leaders in ensuring equipment used to deliver the service is of the standard required and is maintained to physical and technical standards.
To inform Team Leaders of the ordering requirements to maintain sufficient stock levels to deliver the service.
Undertake initial investigation and reporting of untoward incidents and accidents using Datix.
