We have an exciting opportunity here at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust for the right person.
We are looking for a Supervisor or Decontamination Technician to join our highly motivated and dedicated team. Candidates must have decontamination experience and if not already qualified have a commitment to complete a qualification within 18 months.
This role is based at Pinderfields in the central decontamination facility that covers all 3 sites attached to The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. It is a busy department that is always striving for excellence and one that operates a strict quality management system to aid in this.
This is a permanent full time role, working 37.5 hours per week which includes shifts patterns of 08.00am to 17.00pm, and 10.00am to 19.00pm alternating on a weekly basis. This also includes a 1 in 5 rostered weekend and a rostered bank holiday.

Main duties of the job
With the co-operation of the training manager,
assist in training to ensure all staff have the competences needed to meet the current
service and future developments.
Undertake the role of trainer / assessor in line
with departments training program for new staters / apprentices.
Monitor and manage daily production and ensure
targets are met.
Take part in daily Genba giving and receiving
information to all staff.
Liaise with all supervisors on all shifts to
ensure information is received by all.
Manage staff annual leave and attendance as per
departmental policy. Complete any documentation relating to absence in the
correct areas and keep management informed of any issues.
Prepare daily/weekly rotas so staff are aware of
work areas and roles.
Assist with recruitment as and when required.
Offer first line counselling to staff as
necessary and liaise with managers as appropriate.
Work with college to support apprentices through
qualification.
