Job summary

In this role, you will have the opportunity to personally make a difference to our patients lives and the lives of their carers and relatives every single day. Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of our multidisciplinary teams who support our patients by assisting the Registered Nurses in planning, delivering and evaluating care. This will require you to:

  • be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals, both verbally and in writing;
  • share our commitment to maintaining high standards in everything we do;
  • demonstrate that you can work effectively within a team that behaves in accordance with our values.

The roles are varied and busy as you will be working a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. We will support you to achieve full training for your core duties at our award-winning Healthcare Academy. This will include achievement of a national Care Certificate, an introduction to the essentials you will need to be a Healthcare Support Worker at the Trust, and a commitment to supporting your continued development.

Main duties of the job

No previous experience in a health care setting is required.

It is essential that within your application you are able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and responsibilities, able to prove how you develop and maintain positive working relationships, along with evidencing how you would demonstrate our Trust values of respect, improving, caring, and high standards.

The minimum hours available for this role is 23 hours per week. You must be able to commit to the standard shift pattern for this role which includes long days, nights, weekend and bank holidays.
