Job summary
An
opportunity has arisen for a full time enthusiastic motivated radiographer to
join our existing multidisciplinary team. This is open to existing Band 6 and
Band 5 radiographers wishing to develop their careers. Band 5 Radiographers
will be required to complete competencies before achieving a Band 6 position.
Main duties of the job
The post offers an excellent opportunity to develop further clinical skills within an expanding interventional radiology & fluoroscopy service.Interventional Radiology provides angiography & PCI services for both radiology and cardiology patients from across the three sites of the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. We have three angiography suites and three fluoroscopy rooms. The post holder will work closely with all the team members supporting each others roles.
IR experience is not essential as a schedule of extensive training will be organised by the Radiographer team leader to ensure relevant competencies are obtained, however an interest in IR is essential
The postholder will be required to work trustwide to fit the needs of both services.Flexible working hours with extended days and participation in the IR on-call rota is essential.

To adapt technique to the condition of the patient and level of co-operation, consistent with a good diagnostic outcome/optimum image quality.
