Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 enthusiastic individuals to join our admin team in the busy Pathology department at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield. Two part-time positions are available, monday to Friday (each 20 hours per week), one to cover 9am -1pm and the other 1pm - 5pm.
Applicants for this position will be highly reliable, trustworthy and be able to work to tight deadlines under pressure. You will be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.
A good, basic level of education is required that demonstrates a good understanding of the English language and a good level of numeracy.
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential along with fast, accurate keyboard skills. An ability to follow instructions, work under pressure and demonstrate good manual dexterity will be an advantage.
You will be required to use Microsoft Office and the hospital ICE system to identify requests for consumables, so an understanding of English and keyboard skills are required.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role are to package and
supply consumables to GP Practices, hospital wards and departments who are users of the Pathology service at MYTT.
To maintain
the consumables spreadsheet on a daily basis, showing quantities supplied.
To carry out
administrative duties in a manner that supports departmental targets and
ensures compliance with standard operating procedures.
