Nursing Associates work as a vital part of the
wider nursing team and this important role helps to bridge care between
Healthcare Support Workers and Registered Nurses. Nursing Associate training includes a mixture of
hands-on experience within the workplace, supported by some learning in the
classroom
This is a 2 year Apprenticeship and at the end of
your Apprentice Nursing Associate training, you will receive a foundation
degree, and once you register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, you will
become a fully registered Nursing Associate.
Main duties of the job
You are applying for our next programme which
commence in January 2024
Following your initial application, you may be
invited to attend an assessment centre and interview during the week beginning 9th October 2023 where you will be asked to provide original certificates of your Maths and English
qualifications. If you don't have these, you will not be able to attend.
You must have a minimum of 6 months recent experience in a healthcare setting delivering direct patient care.
If successful and offered a place on the course,
you will be fully supported by the Trust, with paid employment as an apprentice
during your studies and Level 5 Course fees paid
Upon successful completion of your studies, you
will be guaranteed a permanent job with the Trust as a Nursing Associate.

There is an eligibility criterion for government
funded apprenticeships which requires the applicant to be aged 16+ and be a
resident in the UK for the last three years. Applicants cannot have achieved
a qualification at level 5 or above in the same pathway as this will exempt
them from being able to undertake the apprenticeship.
