We
are delighted to be able to advertise a fixed-term 30 hours per week Band 4 Technical
Instructor post at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust.
You will be part of a dynamic
and friendly Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team working alongside the Advanced
Physiotherapy Practitioners and Specialist Physiotherapists in pelvic health
and MSK related perinatal conditions.The service is delivered by the team of
therapists and the clinical leads across the three hospital sites within the
trust and may therefore involve cross-site working.
At Mid
Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, we provide an extensive physiotherapy service for
our patients with pelvic health problems. We have strong links with
other therapy teams as well as the wider MDT within urogynaecology,
gynaecology, urology, colorectal and midwifery. The team is currently expanding
due to the roll out of local Perinatal Pelvic Health Services and the
successful candidate will have a key role in setting up and delivering this
service alongside the clinical leads and Specialist Physiotherapists.

formal courses and in service training.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will assist in helping shape the Pelvic Health
Physiotherapy service in line with latest guidelines, providing the highest
quality care for patients and provide support to the wider physiotherapy team
and other healthcare professionals.
The
successful candidate will use specialist technical
skills and knowledge (with training provided as required) to provide a
flexible, patient centred, therapeutic programme for pelvic health patients. This
will include patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ
prolapse, pelvic pain as well as ante and post-natal patients.
The
successful candidate will have a can do attitude, be a team player with
excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills who is committed
to facilitating positive change management, developing themselves and the team.

documented and verbal feedback on patients progression.
- To work effectively as a member of
the pelvic health team in providing a patient centered program to engage
patients in activities to promote independence and well-being.
- To have an understanding of pelvic
health conditions, acute conditions and long term conditions and common
pathologies in order to assist with patient education.

contraindications for treatment e.g for certain pelvic health
