The role consists of 0.4 WTE with the Pharmacy Education & Training Team
This exciting role is supporting programmes and future developments for undergraduate students, Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacists from General to Advanced Level Practice. Working with and supporting the Lead for Education and Training, the Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Education Programme Director for Trainee Pharmacists and the Specialist Pharmacy Technician for Education, Training and Digital Medicine.
Supporting the Trust's desire in striving for excellence, you will work with other team members by providing leadership to ensure safe prescribing, administration, clinical and cost-effective use of medicines and supporting workforce planning. You will be based mainly at Pinderfields Hospital, the largest of our three hospital sites but will also be required to work across the Trust if needed.
Main duties of the job
You will support the provision of education, training and professional development for post-registration pharmacists.
You will work alongside and support the Education and Training team with the undergraduates, trainees and pharmacists, through the delivery of the Pharmacy Education & Training Strategy.
You will work with and support the Lead Nurse Medicines Optimisation in delivering the strategy for medicines related training Trust wide.
Support the Pharmacy Lead for Education and Training and Specialist Pharmacy Technician for Education, Training and Digital Medicines in delivering the Pharmacy Education and Training Strategy for Pharmacy Technicians and support staff and support the Advanced Pharmacist for Education and Training in delivering the Trainee Pharmacist training programme and supporting line managers in line managing their students.
To act as a mentor for students in practice placements and provide a clinical pharmacy service.
