Job summary

We are looking for an full time enthusiastic nurse at Pinderfields Hospital, offering a varied and rewarding opportunity for Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care to patients in an Outpatient setting. The role typically involves assisting with patient assessments and physiological observations, coordinating appointments, and supporting clinical staff in delivering specialised services across various medical and surgical specialities. Professionals in this setting support with perform vital checks, assist with diagnostic tests, chaperoning and ensure that patients receive timely treatments. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as the clinic environment is fast-paced, and efficiency is crucial in managing patient flow. We are predominantly a Monday Friday service covering clinics from 8am-6pm with occasional later finishes in line with potential clinic delays or patient admissions

Main duties of the job

Supporting the seamless flow of clinics whilst providing assistance to clinicians of varied specialisms. To prepare clinic rooms with required equipment, stock management and provide effective flow of patients through the department. To chaperone and assist in minor procedures within the department. To undertake physiological measurements, maintain accurate clinic records and report to clinicians. To provide support and reassurance to patients and carers/family. To preserve privacy and dignity at all times. To assist patients within and to other departments as required. To maintain patient confidentiality and support the trusts values and behaviours in all tasks. The main base would be Pinderfields hospital, however Outpatient services run from all three sites, including Pontefract and Dewsbury. Covering these sites would be also be expected, generally infrequently.
