Advanced Clinical Pharmacist - Education & Training & Lecturer Practitioner The role consists of 0.4 WTE Lecturer Practitioner at the University of Huddersfield and 0.6 WTE with the Pharmacy Education & Training Team This exciting role is supporting programmes and future developments for undergraduate students, Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacists from General to Advanced Level Practice. Working with and supporting the Lead for Education and Training, the Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Education Programme Director for Trainee Pharmacists and the Specialist Pharmacy Technician for Education, Training and Digital Medicine. Supporting the Trust's desire in striving for excellence, you will work with other team members by providing leadership to ensure safe prescribing, administration, clinical and cost-effective use of medicines and supporting workforce planning. You will be based mainly at Pinderfields Hospital, the largest of our three hospital sites, and the University of Huddersfield but will also be required to work across the Trust if needed. Main duties You will be the Lecturer Practitioner working collaboratively across secondary care and the University of Huddersfield Support the provision of education, training and professional development for undergraduates, trainees and pharmacists, through the delivery of the Pharmacy Education & Training Strategy.

Main duties of the job

The following requirements are essential to apply for the role: Masters or Bachelors degree in Pharmacy Postgraduate diploma or Postgraduate Masters degree in clinical pharmacy, or the equivalent degree of experience Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council Qualified as Pharmacist Independent Prescriber or willingness to train to become an independent prescriber if relevant to the role Experience of working in hospital pharmacy, including ward-based clinical work Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team including senior doctors and nurses. Relevant clinical experience Experience of audit Experience of educating and training a variety of professionals Experience as a diploma or Pre-Registration tutor Excellent communication skills verbal, written and electronic Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise and manage an unpredictable workload Problem solving skills Ability to motivate self and others Demonstrate ability to use initiative and be proactive Information technology skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications Excellent presentation skills Negotiation skills
