Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Adult Outpatient Therapy MSK Team at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

This rotational post offers experience across a variety of specialist areas, including: MSK Outpatients Gym and Hydrotherapy Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across all three of our sites.

This post is ideal for a physiotherapist seeking to broaden their clinical expertise, develop leadership skills, and play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

Main duties of the job

To provide advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological symptoms associated with musculoskeletal conditions in a broad variety of clinical settings.

This will include, Musculoskeletal out-patients- Upper Limb, head, neck & Spinal; Lower Limb and Hydrotherapy and Orthopaedic in-patients;

The senior clinician will provide a diagnosis, develop, and deliver an individual treatment programme for this patient.

To provide leadership and support to junior colleagues in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal clinical conditions.

To provide peer support, supervision and second opinions to members of the musculoskeletal team.

Participate in 7-day cover for the orthopaedic unit, helping to prevent delayed discharges.

To be responsible for the technical instructors on duty.

To provide clinical education of physiotherapy students on placement.

To undertake a management role where appropriate in the clinical setting, where overseeing, planning and implementing objectives for juniors and assistants is necessary.
