Sister/Charge Nurse - Endoscopy

Job summary

Endoscopy at Mid Yorkshire is a JAG accredited service, of which we are very proud. We currently have a vacancy for a dynamic, forward thinking Registered Nurse with endoscopy experience to join the leadership team as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse.

This role combines clinical expertise with operational oversight. As the Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of care that is safe, effective, high-quality and patient-centred.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in cross site working and the 24 hour on call GI bleed service that we provide.

Main duties of the job

Work in accordance with the NMC Code and MYTT Values and Behaviours framework, and ensure that care is delivered in line with relevant Trust, local and national policy and guidance.

Ensure staffing levels and skill mix enable the delivery of safe care.

Provide leadership and support to colleagues.

Assist the Unit Manager in carrying out appraisals and development reviews for team members.

Manage sickness absence on behalf of the unit manager.

Manage complaints in the unit manager's absence.

Participate in the recruitment, selection and training of new staff.
