Join our caring and dedicated Paediatric Team! Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your Occupational Therapy skills within a friendly and supportive specialist Children's Occupational Therapy Service?

We are in the exciting position to be able to recruit a permanent fulltime Band 5 Children's Occupational Therapist to join our established team! The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust Children's Therapy Team offers evidence-based interventions for children from 0 to 19 years presenting with a wide range of developmental, neurological, and physical needs which impacts on their ability to engage in childhood occupations.

We work in a range of health, community, social care and educational settings including input onto the childrens ward working with orthopaedic conditions.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will work autonomously managing a caseload of community patients under the supervision of one of our experienced therapists, support with clinic-based treatment sessions, as well as work on the children's ward to facilitate safe discharge and equipment provision.

You'll play a vital role in enabling children to achieve their potential and participate fully in everyday and meaningful activities and routines. The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust Children's Therapy Team offers a supportive and inclusive working environment with regular supervision and CPD opportunities.

The Children's Therapy team prides itself as being part of the wider MDT which includes Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy colleagues for joined up care, and to achieve excellent patient experience each and every time.
