Senior Administration Assistant - Apprenticeship Opportunity

Job summary

The post holder will be aligned to a portfolio of the Care Group and will provide a senior comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the clinical services. They will undertake day to day supervision of band 2 staff, and liaise with the Administration Lead to ensure that high standards of data quality are achieved and maintained as well as ensure Clinical Practitioners are proactively supported with service delivery. The post holder will be an EPR system super user.

If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].

As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

Main duties of the job

To provide day to day effective and efficient administration support of a branch of the Care Group:

Support administration teams be able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload, ensuring effective support for the achievement of contracted targets

Maintain a high level of confidentiality

Deal with administrative tasks to deliver a positive outcome

Supervise and line management administrative staff on a day to day basis

  • Ensure necessary cover at all times

Qualifications

Essential

  • English and Maths at level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*- C or functional skills level 2)
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a related subject
  • VVQ level 3 in related subject or willingness to undertake a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a busy environment, office procedures, and workload management
  • Experience of office procedures, e.g., filing, photocopying, message taking, typing
  • Experience in accessing internet / email facilities
  • Experience of supervising / leading a team
  • Experience of liaising with staff across different disciplines

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience or other large public sector organisation would be an advantage

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office applications
  • Thorough understanding of confidentiality and security of information

Desirable

  • Use of online patient record system such as SystmOne would be an advantage
