Job summary
The Perinatal Mental Health SCPHN will work across the 0-5 Health Visiting service providing expert health support and knowledge. The role involves supporting a caseload of families identified as needing additional wellbeing support in the perinatal period.
The post holder will offer advice and support to families using evidence-based tools and encourage parents to access community-based services and evidence outcomes utilising Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Health Scale.
Main duties of the job
Act in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct, maintaining professional competence and standards.
Deliver the commissioned service; prioritising, managing time and resources effectively in line with best practice.
Utilise specialist skills and knowledge to assess the health and health related needs of children and their families. Support identification and delivery of care in line with the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) for 0-5 and the Perinatal Wellbeing model.

- A Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) with an active registration.
Desirable
- A Master's or working towards a masters related to Perinatal Mental Health
- Level 7 modules in Maternal infant attachment and or perinatal mental health
- HV Perinatal Mental Health Train the Trainer qualification.
- A qualification, or have undertaken a program of formal training in Clinical Supervision Specialist Qualification in CBT, or other appropriate therapy
