Team Secretary - Apprenticeship Opportunity

Job summary

We're looking for an organised and enthusiastic Team Secretary to support the secretarial and administrative functions within theRotherham Primary Care Mental Health Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role ina newly created team, as part of the Rotherham Community Mental Health Transformation Programme.

This role offers the chance to help shape the smooth running of a team dedicated to improving mental health support in the community.

If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].

As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the team to ensure the smooth running of the service.

  • Manage referrals, correspondence and diary scheduling, ensuring information is handled efficiently and accurately.

  • Provide administrative support across the pathway as required, supporting key service activities and processes.

  • Carry out duties in line with requests from the Team Manager and wider service, adapting to the needs of the team.

  • Support the day-to-day organisation of the administration office, including booking meetings, coordinating events and arranging meeting rooms.

  • Assist the Team and Service Managers by gathering and providing information to support service delivery and decision-making

Desirable

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a related subject

Experience

  • IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages
  • Working in a busy office environment
  • Office procedures i.e. filing, photocopying, message taking

  • Supervising colleagues
