Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to work into our Psychological Therapies Hub offering Psychological interventions to clients across both our Primary Care Integrated Mental Health hub and Locality Treatment teams.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to offer a range of therapies and approaches, to clients with a diverse range of mental health issues. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of supportive, compassionate and value-driven Psychological Professions.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will offer a qualified clinical/counselling psychology service providing specialist psychological assessment and interventions, developing formulations and implementing evidence based interventions in line with NICE guidance. A key role of the post-holder will also be to offer supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists, alongside opportunities for reflective practice, while promoting staff wellbeing and resilience. They will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. They will also be committed to the principles of recovery, have effective interpersonal and time management skills as well as being a responsive and motivated team player.

The successful applicant will have Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology or be due to qualify this year and be HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist.

The successful candidates will receive management supervision from the team manager and clinical supervision from a Senior Clinical Psychologist. There will also be the opportunity to access appropriate training to further develop skills.

Essential

  • Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Post doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
  • Further qualifications or training in a Psychological model/approach e.g CAT or EMDR
