Job summary
The post holder will be responsible to assist in the delivery, development and management of a comprehensive business intelligence service and to ensure this environment will enable the Trust to achieve its clinical and business objectives.
The method to deliver this will be through the intelligent application of information and the provision of robust intelligence about the Trust's business functions. This will ensure we have in place an organisation capable of delivering safe, effective and efficient patient care through the provision of quality information in a timely manner to where it is required.
The post holder will be part of the Information team charged with the responsibility to ensure specialist IM&T information is processed to support the information / performance management culture throughout the Trust and in line with the IM&T Strategy.
The post holder will investigate enquiries and queries from staff/customers and provide assistance and advice as required for all key stakeholders (Care Groups, locality teams and managers) within the Trust and will also Mentor other members of the team in the use of SRSS and SQL.
The postholder will understand the data management life cycle and assist in the analysis / interpretation of information. Also to process IM&T information in accordance with policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide high-quality, timely and meaningful information to support clinical, operational and strategic decision-making across the Trust. Working in partnership with Business Analysts, Care Groups and managers, they will develop, maintain and deliver routine and non-routine reporting for internal stakeholders, commissioners and national NHS requirements. The role is responsible for producing accurate reports and dashboards, improving data presentation and quality, supporting an intelligence-led culture, and developing innovative reporting solutions using tools such as SQL, SSRS and Power BI. The post holder will also support and mentor colleagues, promote data ownership, and work independently within professional policies to agreed objectives.
