Job summary
The post holder will provide senior oversight and financial leadership to Care Groups or Finance Leadership Team and the Out of Area budget.
The post holder will have highly developed specialist knowledge and experience of management accounts and NHS finance and will be expected to deputise for the Assistant Director of Finance on any management accounts and contract finance matters.
The post holder will support and deputise for the Assistant Director of Finance in the analysis and reporting of the Trusts monthly and year-end position. This will include the analysis and reporting on of key measures such as CIP.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will act as the senior financial advisor to Care Groups ot Senior Finance Leadership Team. This will involve: Overseeing and providing senior finance advice on any financial matters relating to Care Groups or Contract Income including financial planning, business cases, tenders, CIP plans. Line managing the associated finance staff. Overseeing and advising the Trusts finance managers in redesigning budgets ensuring they are kept up-to-date and engaged in plans for the services they cover. Overseeing and advising finance managers on the detailed financial assessment and costing of CIP schemes, transformation plans, service redesign. Provide positive challenge and professional support to operational colleagues to ensure that clinical services and pathways and corporate services are an efficient use of resources. Use sophisticated costing tools to analyse the service line cost base of services.
