Job summary
The post-holder will work as part of the Facilities team to provide a range of duties offered by the service. The post-holder will be expected to undertake the following:
- A range of domestic cleaning tasks in both a clinical and non-clinical setting, in linewith the National Standard of Cleanliness (2019)
- A range of catering tasks on in-patient areas, including breakfast, lunch, evening meal, beverage rounds and menu collation
- Provide a laundry 'put away' service on in-patient areas
- Take personal responsibility for their surroundings and environment, reporting any faults or maintenance requests onto the online estates reporting tool.
Services are provided in a variety of mental health settings, and both planned and incidental contract is expected with patients and visitors to the Trust and at times this can be challenging or upsetting.
Main duties of the job
The department provides a cleaning services 7 days per week, and the post holder will ensure that a high-quality cleaning service is provided for patients and staff across RDaSH.
The post holder will utilise resources efficiently and equitable to the identified needs of theservice specification to maximise benefits to patients/staff/public and deliver to a high-quality standard service.
There is an expectation that staff members will reflect on their contribution to the services they deliver through their own personal responsibility. Personal responsibility is a philosophy or way of thinking that seeks to improve both the experience of those coming into contact with Trust services and the experience of the workforce in providing care. It is a commitment to doing our best in providing safe, effective care for patients/service users and to continuously improve standards
Duties include but not limited to - Emptying of bins, vacuum cleaning, mopping, buffing/scrubbing of floors, damp dusting all furniture/fittings, replenishing and cleaning of all sanitary areas.
