Job summary
The role will manage the systems, structures, processes and staff that are in place to support the operation of the Mental Health Act 1983, ensuring compliance with the Code of Practice and associated legislation.
Main duties of the job
The role will assist in the development and drafting of Trust policies and procedures in relation to mental health legislation and will ensure the dissemination of the same to all relevant managers and staff groups.
The role will maintain, enhance and develop operational reporting requirements to the Mental Health Act Committee.
The role will provide highly specialist advice and support to both Senior Management colleagues and clinical staff in relation to the Mental Health Act 1983 and associated legislation.
The post holder will hold managerial responsibility for the locality based Mental Health Act offices in Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.
They will report to and be support by the Medical Directorate Business Manager
