Volunteer Driver - North Lincolnshire

Job summary

We are pleased to offer volunteer driver opportunities within the North Lincolnshire and Talking Therapies Care Group.

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? As a Volunteer Driver you'll play a vital role in supporting patients and their families during a challenging time by helping to remove barriers to visiting by providing safe, reliable, and friendly transport. Ensuring families can maintain essential contact, which is proven to aid patient recovery, mental wellbeing, and discharge readiness.

If you enjoy driving, meeting new people, and want to give something back to your community, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Main duties of the job

Volunteer duties will include:

Provide safe and reliable transport for family members visiting loved ones.

Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle when required, always with sensitivity and respect.

Be a friendly, supportive presence to help families feel comfortable and at ease during what can be an emotional time.

Maintain clear communication with your line manager, including your availability and any issues that arise.

Ensure the vehicle (either your own or one provided) is roadworthy, clean, and meets all safety standards.

Handle information sensitively at all times.
