Mental Health Practitioner (Group Pathway)

Job summary

The post holder will work as a member of a multidisciplinary within the Adult Community Mental Health Teams, providing a service to clients experiencing mental health symptoms of a serious and enduring nature.

To be responsible as the Lead Professional for reviewing, planning and implementing evidence-based care. You will be responsible for the running, management and supervision of groups as well as supporting staff in the pathway.

To be responsible for managing the waiting lists within the group pathway

To provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multidisciplinary team.

To act as a role model and resource for junior/less experienced staff.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must demonstrate a flexible approach, evolving around the needs of service users, their families and significant others. The role involves working as a team member, with the responsibility of a caseload across traditional boundaries of Adult and the voluntary sector services specifically for those engaging in the therapeutic Group Pathway; responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of the evidence-based care, and responsible for the facilitation, management and supervision of groups as well as supporting staff in the pathway.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent team working skills, who is keen to develop their knowledge and skills in this area. You should be a competent and motivated practitioner with appropriate demonstrable experience.
