Digital Accessibility Developer

Job summary

Working as part of the Communications and Information Systems teams, the post holder will be required to provide comprehensive, effective and professional development and support of RDaSH digital systems as the main responsibility. Using specialist knowledge of technical coding and web programming expertise and security skills to develop and implement digital systems.

The post holder will be responsible for providing ongoing specialist knowledge of current accessibility guidelines and legislation to ensure that all content meets the current standards.

The post holder will be required to support the Head of Information Systems and the Head of Communications to summarise current accessibility guidelines to educate internal and external stakeholders. They will also be required to interpret current guidelines and provide ad hoc advice and training to individual colleagues on a daily basis. This involves having the knowledge and practical expertise to update, train other trust colleagues on current accessibility standards.

Working alongside the information systems team, the post holder will be required to develop requested new complex functionality for in-house and external digital systems.
