Job summary
RDASH continues to work towards reducing waiting times for assessment for ADHD and the Clinical Lead role plays a key part within that work. Following significant investment into ADHD services and the reduction in hours of existing Clinical Leads a 6 month secondment post is being offered to increase our Clinical Lead capacity to help support the delivery of our ambitious plan to align and improve our services across all localities. We provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for ADHD using both face to face and remote appointments working as a multi-disciplinary team.
The Clinical Lead will be expected to be able to demonstrate a high level of skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and will support the clinical teams with this work as well as contribute to and support the ongoing work to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Lead will play a key role in leading and supporting the ongoing development of the services in order to deliver against the Trust promises, particularly in reducing waiting times and improving access to services for neuro-diverse individuals. The Clinical Lead will be expected to role model the behaviours and values of the organisation whilst contributing to and enabling the delivery of more effective and efficient services for patients.
The Clinical Lead is required to be an experienced independent prescriber, experienced in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and will support patients through the service including triage, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and transfer into shared care.
The Clinical Lead will contribute to the development of plans to improve and align the services and will support the roll out of any identified developments representing the team and Trust both internally and externally to key partners and stakeholders.
The Clinical Lead will support the clinical teams with complex cases, clinical supervision and provide leadership to the teams in line with the Trust and Directorate objectives and values.
