Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHSFT

The closing date is 07 January 2025

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity within our Doncaster Mental Health Support Teams for a Band 8a Clinical Lead to support and enhance the exciting expansion of our service. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and child-focused person to join our team.

Doncaster With Me In Mind (Mental Health Support Teams) are one of the national 'trailblazer' sites for developing mental health support in schools and reducing waiting times for access to specialist services. This is a really exciting time for the team as it continues to develop, implementing 'New Ways of Working' and a new service model underpinned by the national initiative for transforming children and young people's mental health.

Currently, we have established teams in over 50% of education settings across Doncaster as part of the first wave trailblazer and Wave 8. We are in the mobilisation stage of Wave 12, recruiting more schools taking the total coverage of just over 70% which begins in January 2025.

We are in a position to offer a Band 8a Clinical Lead for FTE 0.4 fixed term for 12 months.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Lead will support the current clinical lead in developing the service and supporting our 2 team leaders. The clinical lead will have oversight of the running and delivery of the service ensuring best practice is always adhered to.

The post will support other pathways within CYPMHS, and work in partnership with the wider leadership team in CYPMHS. You will have to demonstrate an understanding of MHST's and the wider model, enable service development and have leadership experience.
