The Recovery Team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced adult mental health nurse to join our team.

Do you have a passion for working within adult mental health? Do you enjoy working in a clinic based environment?

This role involves predominantly working in both lithium and depot clinics supported by the Clinical Nurse Specialist, as well as working with the wider community team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for treatment and reviewing the care of those open to the clinics and escalating any concerns to the Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the Recovery Team the post holder will provide high quality nursing interventions, predominately within the clinic Pathway.

The post holder will be an enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated mental health professional who can provide high quality nursing expertise and support to those with mental health conditions.

It is essential that the applicant can demonstrate post registration experience as an RMN, which may include inpatient and community settings.

The following tasks and duties will also form part of the role, however this list is not exhaustive:

Holistic mental health assessment / review

Development of appropriate treatment plans / signposting to relevant third sector organisations

Recruitment, supervision, and deployment of staff.

Advice, training and induction and mentorship of learners.

Audit, research and service monitoring.

Ordering, storage, monitoring and administration of medication.

Liaison within the multi-disciplinary care team, including carers, relatives, voluntary agencies etc.
