Rotherham Doncaster and South Humberside NHS Foundation Trust have successfully been delivering Mental Health Support Teams (With Me in Mind) in Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire schools and colleges since 2019. North Lincolnshire joined this journey as part of wave 5 and 7 more recently wave 11 . This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of the expansion of MHST's in North Lincolnshire, implementing 'New Ways of Working' within the local area. This project is underpinned by national strategies and initiatives for transforming children and young people's mental health.
With Me in Mind supports children/young people and their families providing emotional and mental health support whilst enhancing services that already exist. The service ensure that early intervention and prevention are in place in all education providers working with school years 3 to 13. The service supports children, young people and families providing extra capacity for early intervention support within school and college settings.
We have an exciting band 3 opportunity within our North Lincolnshire team for a further Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner. We are looking to recruit a practitioner who is enthusiastic, kind, compassionate and resilient.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner is an active member of the team working with others to support the delivery of mental health and emotional wellbeing activities and to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people (aged 7-18 years) and their families. The post holder will deliver a range of delegated activities as part of a wider skill mix team to support children, young people and their families by offering age-appropriate information and advice on a range of emotional health, lifestyle and behaviour related issues.
