Magnolia Lodge are seeking enthusiastic caring and compassionate applicants to expand the existing team. Working as a Senior Therapy Assistant; you will work under the guidance of the inter-disciplinary team (IDT) to contribute to the delivery of services based within Tickhill Road Hospital (TRH). Doncaster Physical Health Care Group is a highly diverse business unit within Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber Foundation NHS Trust (RDaSH). This includes community and inpatient health care services which span across the geographical area of Doncaster.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Therapy Assistant will contribute to the assessment, implementation and delivery of care within a multi-professional team.

Will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice.

Will support the qualified multi-professional team and contribute to the implementation of health and social care programmes primarily within an inpatient setting but with the expectation to work within community settings also.

Will coordinate the work of the Band 2 Rehabilitation Assistants in regards to group activities, 1:1 activities and adherence to therapy care plans.

Will work autonomously when delivering rehabilitation programs with patients in a range of different environments (ward, gym, community settings).

Will aid in the facilitation of the 24-hour rehabilitation approach through assisting with the handover of therapy plans to the Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants.
