Job summary
To build effective, positive, and collaborative working with clinical and non-clinical staff to embed and promote a learning culture by taking forward the L&D agenda.
To deliver against key work streams and projects as directed by the Lead Learning and Development Facilitator (MAST) , whilst also ensuring up to date knowledge and understanding of other work streams being delivered within the wider team in order to provide a clear overview of the L&D agenda both within and outside the Trust.
Develop and evaluate the delivery of accredited and bespoke training programmes including professional qualifications, vocational, coaching and other developmental training interventions in conjunction with external partners where appropriate.
Develop generic and bespoke training utilising a wide and varied range of delivery methods to ensure training is contextualised and demonstrably adds value to the user experience.Ensure that training processes, procedures, and policies are effective and up to date.
Support the wider L&D team by actively contributing to the development, implementation, and on-going review of appropriate quality monitoring and audit processes including databases and other systems to ensure training is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Network with external training providers and other Trusts to contribute to good practice.
Main duties of the job
Manages and prioritises own portfolio of work, consisting of clinical & professional L&D and project-based responsibilities to meet required deadlines and objectives.
To directly support the Lead Learning and Development Facilitators in the research, design and delivery of trust wide training and development programmes and leading delivery on key work streams in line with Learning and Development agenda, specifically resuscitation and clinical skills. To act as advisor for Learning & Development in life support matters.
Ensure that local advice and support provided to operational areas including the development of bespoke programmes are clearly aligned to the corporate trust wide Learning and development agenda and referred as appropriate to the Head of Learning and Development.
The role involves the facilitation of training to both clinical and non-clinical staff in the Trust and will include ensuring the quality assurance and evaluation of training.
The line management of Band 4 Learning & Development Facilitators.
