Trainee NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity Therapist (Band 6)

NHS RDaSH Talking Therapies cover Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire and provide psychological interventions to people with common mental health problems in primary care as part of the National Talking Therapies programme.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for five dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join NHS RDaSH Talking Therapies. As a Trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, you will gain the opportunity to learn and work alongside team highly skilled and diverse therapists.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will provide High Intensity CBT interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training which commences in October 2024, in collaboration with Sheffield University. This training post will equip you to deliver a range of evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions to clients with a range of common mental health problems in primary care.

The post is full time 37.5 hours. You will be required to attend taught and self-study days provided by Sheffield University two days a week. The remaining 3 days of the week you will work within the Talking Therapies Service.

On successful completion of the course, you will be expected to work towards and maintain full accreditation with the BABCP.

This role is fixed term for 12 months, which will become a permanent Band 7 High Intensity CBT post on successful completion of the course.

Please note that this is not a remote only post. Interviews to be held on 2nd and 3rd September.
