Job summary

Are you passionate about supporting the recovery of people with complex emotional needs? Do you value building therapeutic relationships over time and working as part of a close team? If so, you should apply for this role to be a lead professional in the Adult Community Mental Health Team.

This role is open to applicants trained as either an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse.

The post holder will work as a member of a multidisciplinary within the Adult Community Mental Health Team, providing a service to clients experiencing mental health conditions of a serious and enduring nature. This will often involve difficulties regulating emotions or maintaining relationships, moderate to severe depression and anxiety, and self-harming behaviours.

You will be responsible as the Lead Professional for reviewing, planning and implementing evidence-based care. The post holder will provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multidisciplinary team. You will also act as a role model and resource for junior/less experienced staff.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must demonstrate a flexible approach, evolving around the needs of service users, their families and significant others. The role involves working as a team member, with the responsibility of a caseload within the complex emotion needs service with the CMHT.

You will be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of the evidence-based care.
