Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for senior and highly experienced Social Worker to work a dynamic organisation and place partners regarding Social Work practice and leadership. The Social Work Practice Lead position offers a great opportunity for a Social Worker whose core values are to place patients at the centre of all learning and ensure approaches to workforce development and wellbeing are compassionate and high quality.

The role requires a leader who is innovative and personally motivated to work with social workers working in a range of different roles; care group leader's; corporate leader's and several multi-professional teams who support a high standard of clinical care provision, supervision, and education. The role will focus upon supporting the development of the Trust Social Worker portfolio, representing the Trust at Regional meetings, ensuring learning and opportunities are then conveyed and utilised 'in Trust'.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide highly visible professional leadership for all Social Work professionals across directorates working with clinical and operational leaders across RDaSH to ensure compliance with professional standards and development of high-quality integrated care across the Trust.

The post holder will work with the Director for Psychological Professionals & Therapies to hold strategic responsibility for the education and development of Social Work staff to achieve a flexible and competent workforce fit for future requirements within the service and in response to national and local developments. The post holder will be a champion of life-long learning embedding in a culture of research, personal development, and reflection. Other across Trust responsibilities are expected from the position (i.e. related Social Work practice placements) and post holders would be expected to produce reports and attend internal and external meetings related to these matters.

  • Registration and maintenance of registration with Social Work England
