Grounds and Gardens Worker

Job summary

Opportunity has arisen for 2 x 30 hour posts within the Grounds Department, based at Tickhill Road Site in Doncaster. Candidates will be required to travel to properties across South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire to carry out grounds maintenance to a high standard.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will be carrying out all aspects of grounds maintenance; mowing lawns, pruning shrubs, hedge maintenance, hard surface maintenance, litter picking and litter bin emptying where required.

Winter gritting is also a requirement of the job, successful candidates will be expected top participate in the Grounds 'on-call' duties to ensure safe access and egress to the Tickhill Road site is maintained for all users.

Occasionally some minor landscaping works may also be required.

Other duties include garden structures maintenance, cleaning and repainting where necessary.

The Trust is working to reduce the dependency on pesticides so use of these has been restricted to use on hard surfaces only.
