Job summary

Are you looking for a new role utilising your Occupational Therapist skills within the community Mental Health teams?

We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy "Soft hub" that includes Community and Inpatient OTs Band 6 OT's, Rotation Band 5's, OT Apprentices and OT assistants.

The work will involve managing Occupational Therapy referrals into the team, assessing adults of working age with mental ill-health who live within their local community around their occupational needs, designing and implementing person - centred interventions to support them in their recovery and evaluating their progress.

Main duties of the job

You will be able to manage a diverse caseload and work closely with the multi - disciplinary team, giving you the opportunity to work with CPNs, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Employment Specialists and Non - Medical Prescribers. You will utilise the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) assessments that are used trust wide and will receive support and training in this. You will be involved in service development and quality improvement projects as we develop OT pathways across the organisation, build links with our partnership organisations in the community, develop our Individual Placement Support service and grow our peer support services as we embed the Community Mental Health Framework across our teams.
