Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the RDaSH HR team in the role of HR Advisor. This role is pivotal in supporting the wider HR function in ensuring we are offering comprehensive employment advice and support to the Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive range of employment services as a point of contact for service areas within the Trust

To support the provision of professional advice to managers on a range of day to day matters in line with the organisation's policies and procedures and employment legislation and best practice ensuring a high quality, efficient and cost effective service.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide professional advice and support to managers on matters relating to disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, bullying and harassment and performance management including attendance at any associated hearings and/or support in the preparation of the associated paperwork
  • To support the Associate HR Partners and HR Partners in line with the Trusts organisational change management processes as required.
  • Under the guidance of the Associate HR Partner, develop and deliver in-house training initiatives, specifically relating to the people agenda and liaise closely with colleagues in Learning and Development.
  • Participation in all aspects of the job matching/evaluation process including advising on grading/banding issues associated with Agenda for Change
  • Responsible for the 'at risk' process including identification of potential suitable alternative employment and maintenance of the redeployment register.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, staff side representatives and managers at all levels to support operational plan and objectives.
  • Under the guidance of the Associate HR Partners monitor the fixed term contracts process within the Trust in line with Trust Policy and Procedure.
  • To support the implementation, development and review of Trust HR Policies and Procedures in line with changing in employment practice and procedures.
