We are pleased to advertise this exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to take up a key leadership position in our CAMHS teams covering all three teams in Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincs. You will be joining the team where there is opportunity to develop practice, and as the Clinical Lead & Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will be expected to take a strong leadership role. You will need a keen interest in delivering high quality patient care, leading service development, and have the skills/personal attributes to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency system.
You will work closely with the care group Director for Psychological Professional, as well as the psychological professionals workforce in the Children's Care Group, to contribute to strategic service development and trauma informed pathways of care for children and young people with mental health difficulties.

You will need to be able to demonstrate your skill/ experience in developing and supporting multidisciplinary approaches and pathways. Experience in supervision is essential as you will be expected to provide supervision to other psychological professionals in the pathways.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychological intervention for Children, Young People and their families. And as a Consultant it would be expected that you would provide direct clinical work, clinical support, expert consultation, and supervision across all the CAMHS teams and also the network. We would expect you to have your own clinical case load and to 'lead by example'.
The post holder would be expected to provide clinical supervision and consultant to a range of professionals. As a Clinical Lead you would be expected to propose and implement policy and service development changes within CAMHS and have shared responsibility for the governance within the service and the strategic direction of the service alongside the Service Managers.
You will develop and provide services that meet the agreed service priorities. This will include development and implementation of highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention strategies including clinical casework, training/supervision of other team members.
Consultation, leadership, and service development are also essential skills for this post. As the Clinical Lead you will have a liaison role with provider partners and will be a key player in carrying out our ambition to work together as a whole system with equal partnership, promoting integrated working and placing the young person at the centre of all that we do.
