We are seeking a Patient Flow Service Manager to lead our operational team at RDaSH and work in collaboration with multiple clinical teams to ensure the day-to-day delivery of a responsive, efficient, and effective high-quality service, so patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time, first time.

Main duties of the job
This role reports to the Head of Patient Flow and is central to ensuring safe, effective, accessible and timely care delivery for patients in all parts of the pathway from community to inpatient settings. This will include a particular focus on out of area placement avoidance, reducing length of stay and the number of patients who are clinically ready for discharge (but delayed).
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a comprehensive understanding of mental health services and proven management and leadership skills. They will also have a strong resolve and the ability to take ownership of tasks and progress swiftly through to conclusion demonstrating strength in their ability to professionally communicate with staff at all levels. They will also be accountable for making sure that the Trust's Strategy is executed locally and that standards of safety are maintained at all times.
