Aspire Drug and Alcohol Services provide a comprehensive range of interventions for Drug and Alcohol users, their families and carers to support rehabilitation and optimal recovery from dependence.

We welcome applications from experienced Drug and Alcohol Nurses, seeking appointment at band 6 who may have had experience of Criminal justice interventions

Main duties of the job

Drug and Alcohol Criminal justice Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) RMN 37.5 hours, Community Based

Leading and supporting other members of the multi disciplinary criminal justice team, you will provide high quality nursing interventions to the Aspire Drug and Alcohol Services. The post holder will work in reaching into prison or probation carrying a small case load for a dedicated amount of time. These will often be for more complex patients, who have co-existing conditions. Your role will include supporting junior staff through recognised governance structures in the service where their patients have lower level mental health issues that require addressing.

There is an expectation that staff will be able to work across a community and acute setting.
