Job summary

RDaSH includes community and inpatient health care services which span across the geographical area of Doncaster. DCG meets the needs of people of all ages and embraces the diversity of the local population. The Intermediate Care Wards are based at Tickhill Road Hospital. Hazel & Hawthorn Ward has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Rehabilitation Assistants to join our team.We are seeking enthusiastic caring and compassionate applicants to expand the existing intermediate care team, working as a Rehabilitation Assistant; you will work under the guidance of the inter-disciplinary team (IDT) to contribute to the delivery of services based within Tickhill Road Hospital (TRH). Applications are welcomed from individuals who are interested in developing skills in rehabilitation, whilst providing a high quality, flexible patient centred service.Applicants will need to have had previous healthcare experience and be able to demonstrate flexibility and commitment to working with people with complex and challenging needs using a creative and adaptable approach to meeting individual needs as an active member of an interdisciplinary team in delivering high quality patient centred care. Main duties of the job

Carry out agreed therapeutic care plans with patients under the direction and supervision of the multi-professional team.

Contribute to the promotion and maintenance of physical, psychological and social well being of patients on the ward including:-

  • Continence management
  • Washing and dressing practice
  • Meal and drink preparation
  • Hydration and nutrition needs
  • Mobility

Awareness of and adherence to all Trust Policies.

Promote and uphold privacy, dignity and respect, rights and wellbeing of patients and their carers at all times.

Work in collaboration with your colleagues as part of a team to ensure delivery of high quality and safe care to patients and their families and to ensure that a positive approach to the development of quality is embraced.
