An exciting opportunity has arisen for dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join one of the UK's founding IAPT services here in Doncaster.
We currently have a position for an experienced CBT therapist to join the Doncaster Core team were you will work alongside team highly skilled and diverse team of therapists.
This post is predominantly a Face to Face contract requiring applicants to be geographically located within travel distance to our main office in Doncaster.
Main duties of the job
Candidates should be able to:
Work as a high level clinician providing Specialist Cognitive Behavioural assessments and treatment to adults with a range of psychological and emotional disorders at steps 3 inclusive of the Stepped Care Model. (National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) anxiety and depression guidelines.)
Liaise with Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and other colleagues in the specialist mental health services in relation to work which fits within the remit of the IAPT service, and to facilitate the throughput of work between the services as appropriate.
Actively "case manage" workload in lines with National Institute for Mental Health guidance.
Act as a clinical expert in the field of Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), providing consultation and education to service colleagues, primary care staff and other relevant stakeholders.
Provide expertise in all aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to clients.
Provide Clinical Supervision and support to colleagues delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions at steps 3 inclusive of the stepped care model.

Essential
- A specialist MSc or Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) OR Completed accredited Hi Intensity training programme as in line with the national IAPT programme and qualified as a Hi-Intensity therapist
- BABCP accreditation or eligibility for BABCP accreditation
Desirable
- Additional training in CBPT associated psychotherapies, e.g. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Interpersonal Therapy, Couples Therapy for Depression, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy
- A qualification, or have undertaken a program of formal training in Clinical Supervision (e.g. completion of a specialist Clinical Supervision Module).

- Receive regular Clinical Supervision in CBT.
- Regularly provide and evaluate teaching and training packages and be a reflective practitioner.
