Consultant Gastroenterology

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust

The closing date is 19 May 2025

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a replacement Gastroenterologist at Eastbourne District General Hospital. The post-holder will lead specific duties as part of the development of a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within the speciality.

The appointee should have a special interest in Gastroenterology and will be joining a department, which has increased its staffing of full-time consultants with further expansion planned, and is looking to sub-specialise; as such the development of a sub-speciality interest such as advanced endoscopy skills and/or an interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease or hepatology is desirable. The appointee may occasionally be asked to cover endoscopy lists and clinics at the alternate site and they may undertake duties on other hospital sites managed by the Trust (e.g. Bexhill, Uckfield and Rye)
