Consultant Respiratory Physician- Conquest Hospital
We are an organisation that places importance and pride on being clinically led and prioritise developing clinical leaders. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our team working to deliver consultant led, efficient, safe, and patient centred care in Respiratory and GIM. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with an interest in asthma, COPD, EBUS and/or Bronchiectasis. Other interests that compliment those of the existing consultants would also be welcome. The trust is highly regarded for the under and post graduate education it provides and has a state-of-the-art Simulation Suite. Facilities for flexible bronchoscopy and full lung function exist at both acute sites; interventional bronchoscopies and pleural procedures are performed at Eastbourne. We have a tertiary level sleep serviceand home ventilation service based at Conquest Hospital and excellent thoracic surgery service support based at Guys Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Respiratory Ward cover; outpatient clinic's for routine, urgent and suspected lung cancer; advise and guidance to primary care; pleural procedures; EBUS, Bronch and other Thoracic interventional diagnostic procedures; GIM on-call cover.
