At ESHT we proudly have an inhouse Occupational Health service, which supports our people to be healthy at work and supports our trust to be a healthy place to work. We help to keep colleagues safe while in work and manage any risks in the workplace that are likely to give rise to work-related ill physical and mental health.

The role of the Vaccination Clinic Nurse is essential for our service to be able to offer this support to the organisation, by offering vaccines to employees, we are supporting them to be healthy at work, supporting our services to be safely staffed, protects our patients and avoids our people taking any vaccine preventable illness home.

This is a diverse role, which requires a confident nurse to work autonomously undertaking clinical assessments and providing vaccinations within established PGDs.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical vaccination and screening services in relation to Occupational Health, to ESHT staff and other identified staff in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Occupational Health team.

To provide assurance as to the maintenance and functioning of clinical areas within the OH service to uphold safe, quality clinical duties.

To provide support to the Duty Nurse function of the service, in relation to the co-ordination and delivery of clinical duties required in response to outbreaks, contacts with infectious diseases and body fluid exposures/injuries.

To support the Occupational Health service with the implementation of developments, audit activities and improvements within the service.
