Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust for a Urology Administrator to join our busy Urology Department based at Eastbourne District General Hospital. The post to cover maternity leave with a proposed start date of 1 July 2024 for 12 months. The post is responsible to provide assistance & manage administration within the Urology Department.

Main duties of the job

The role is to support the Service Manager, Service Delivery Manager & Clinical Unit Management team by managing clinicians & general day to day administration. Duties will include setting up rotas on a monthly basis, management of leave for clinicians, and many other duties. Candidates should have an understanding of European Working Time Directive, shift patterns, and daily duty rotas.

You will be responsible for managing staffing levels of senior doctors within Urology, and junior doctors. You will identify locum cover requirements to your service manager / service delivery manager and source cover as required.

Other duties will include - attending Clinical Governance meetings providing minute taking. You will also be responsible in arranging and minute taking of meetings for the department as and when required. The Urology Department is a fast paced ever growing department with a focus on patient delivery and providing the best for our patients and staff.
