Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor to join our ever expanding team in Urology within East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The post holder will join a dynamic team of Urologists who provide a cross-site general urology service to East Sussex patients at Conquest Hospital in Hastings and Eastbourne DGH. We provide a pan-Sussex complex robotic urology service, Endourology service and male & female reconstruction.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to support delivery of general urology as well as cancer services to enable the waiting time reduction plan. Any subspecialist interests to complement the department are encouraged.

Qualifications & Registration
Essential
- Full registration (with a license to practice) with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent
Desirable
- Higher degree/qualification
- MD/MS/Phd
Training and Experience
Essential
- Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or o shall have equivalent experience and competencies Experience in wide variety of emergency surgery work undertaken in a district general setting.
- Evidence of participation in CME/CPD in the last 12 months.
