Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join ESHT Digital in the role of Digital Coordinator, providing administrative support to the Associate Director of Digital and supporting other managers within the team.

This is a role with lots of variety that's key to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' secretarial experience, have excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with a range of staff groups and stakeholders. They will also be able to prioritise their own workload, use their initiative and maintain confidentiality.

The role can be based at Conquest Hospital in St Leonards or Eastbourne DGH, with the requirement to work at other Trust sites. There are also opportunities for flexible working.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will provide high quality administrative support to the Associate Director of Digital and the Deputy Associate Director, including diary management, monitoring of emails and dealing with enquiries. The role will include organising meetings, chasing up on actions, issuing papers and taking minutes.

You will support the Digital Service Manager to ensure that all managers in the department have access to the most up-to-date information about their teams, including compliance for mandatory training, appraisals and annual leave. You will also cascade absence information to managers and support the day-to-day management of Healthroster.

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level, to include English and Maths
  • RSA III or equivalent experience to RSA III level
  • NVQ3 Administration or equivalent experience
  • Appropriate IT skills - Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel to at least ECDL standard
  • Shorthand and audio typing skills
  • Accurate minute taking

Desirable

  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Typing speed to 80wpm
  • Shorthand speed to 70 wpm
